Metesa Greene is a Consulting Trainer contributing to curriculum development and delivery; assisting with the facilitation of our Financial Coaching for Prosperity trainings. Since the financial empowerment industry is constantly evolving, Metesa is on the cutting edge of identifying and utilizing new tools and approaches to assist changing organizational environments with the most current information in relevant industry practices.
For the past 25 years, Metesa has been a motivated, result-oriented leader serving social service, government and financial service agencies in the greater Seattle region in various capacities. She has served individuals and families ranging from providing one-on-one counseling and coaching services to providing financial literacy and education. Metesa has over 10 years of experience as a supervisor and manager, providing her with experience developing and implementing financial capability programming, in addition to coaching and mentoring staff.
Metesa has served with the Washington Homeownership Resource Center as a board member and as an Executive Committee Member with the Pierce County Asset Building Coalition. She is actively serving as a Coalition Member of the Washington Asset Building Coalition and a member of the Financial Education Partner Network. While a Program Manager at Tacoma Housing Authority, Metesa was part of the development team for the creation of the Children’s Savings Accounts and instrumental in the continuation of Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites. As Housing Counselor at Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, she helped develop and implement Down Payment Assistance and Foreclosure Prevention Assistance Programs.
Currently, Metesa is working with Neighborhood House to develop and implement financial counseling and coaching services. In addition, she is engaged in ongoing conversations that inform Neighborhood House’s equity and inclusion practices.
Metesa is very passionate about providing equitable and inclusive opportunities for individuals and families regardless of their economic status or social position. She values “meeting people where they are”, then providing the tools needed to move them forward. She is committed to inspiring positive change in the lives of people in our communities and around the world.
